Touchstone Group is a placement agent and third-party marketer representing alternative asset managers to a broad array of potential investors, emphasizing distribution to North American and European institutions. Our clients are managers with institutional-quality teams in the hedge fund, private equity fund or venture capital fund arenas.

Touchstone has extensive investor relationships and employs a disciplined marketing process to access institutional decision makers who allocate to alternative investment strategies.

We are agnostic about the investment strategies we represent at any moment in time, although we avoid simultaneously representing multiple managers with similar strategies. We prefer to raise money for strategies that investors will view favorably during the marketing period.

We build close relationships with our asset-manager clients and work to understand the nuances of a client's team, strategy, and execution. Our knowledge of institutional markets enables us to advise clients on how to best position and present themselves to investors.

Our investor base is predominantly institutional, where demand for emerging managers is narrower than for established managers. Accordingly, emerging managers must satisfy more stringent criteria to be attractive to institutional investors.
